The name Rose of Sharon comes from the Bible, Song of Solomon Chapter 2. Scholars are unsure of which specific plant it is referring to, but the context indicates a common flower among the many growing in the land at that time. To be sure this beauty is not common in my own little garden.

I am a Texas photographer with a focus on the amazing wonder and beauty in nature. Texas is such a great place for photography because it is so vast and diverse--from beaches to mountains and just about everything in between! I hope to photograph as much of it as possible while paying close attention to the beauty I find close to home, both in the great and the small. Being out in nature is my "happy place", and I love capturing those moments in time and sharing them with others.
