Description
The Orange-Crowned Warbler is rarely sighted because it likes to stay in the coverage of dense brush and vegetation. It has an orange patch on the crown of its head that can only be seen when it is wet such as when bathing. These small birds migrate from Canada, Alaska, and northern states to the southern US and south to Central America. I was fortunate to spot this one in South Texas in late February.
